A Ministry of Hospitality – The Thursday Night Community Meal

Every Thursday night, at 5:30,  West Nashville UMC welcomes anyone who comes by to share in a hot meal and fellowship.  Some of those who attend the community meal are the homeless, some are living on the margins, and others simply come to share in the fellowship.  The meal is held regardless of Holidays.  On Thanksgiving, members of the church cook extra food and bring it to the church in the evening.  During years when Christmas and News Years both fall on Thursdays, the Church will be open for the meal.

Make me to know your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths.

Christian Education

In the Book of Acts, the Ethiopian Official asks Philip how he can know what the words of God mean unless someone helps him.  Growing in Discipleship means studying the Word of God with others seeking to know that Word.  We have Sunday School classes for Children, Youth and Adults beginning at 9:30 every Sunday Morning.  A Nursery is also available from 9 to noon on Sunday mornings. There are educational opportunities for Adults, Youth, and Children on Wednesday Evenings also, during the weekly 'Energy' program.

Church Ladies Meetin's

For women from 9 to 90.  The church Ladies gather once a month, (usually the 3rd Wednesday) for fellowship and study.  Please check the events calander for meeting dates.

Food Pantry

Hunger is a real problem in Nashville.  Many in the West Nashville Area find themselves making difficult choices between paying living expenses and buying food for their families.  West Nashville maintains a small food pantry providing supplemental food for 50 to 60 families a month.
